What is the difference between the CADs in LDraw? - Eric Fritsch - 2019-02-14

Hi!

Hopefully this is the right place to post this.
I have a project to start but I don't know where to start.  I downloaded LDraw and see that is has 3 different CAD programs in it.  LeoCAD, MLCad and LDCad.
I started playing around in LeoCAD but I am wondering what the difference between them are and what the advantages to each are.

For reference, I am trying to build out a minifig scale model of the car dealership I work for.  Hopefully they'll approve actually building it for display in the showroom.

Thanks in advance!

Eric F

MLCad is the oldest (in terms of updates) and least feature rich program.

I’d say go with LDCad. Roland has great documentation, is active here on the forums for questions, and has a YouTube channel.
