remove mklist source code from official parts releases - Steffen - 2018-12-20

our official parts releases (e.g. 2018-02) contain these 3 files:

mklist1_4.zip
mklist1_6.zip
mklist-c.zip

, containing the source code of mklist.

I would like to request to remove these files from our releases.

The source code instead should be put to GitHub IMHO.

We're looking at shifting the library to Git hosted on our server. When we do this, I will also set up a mirror to Github.

That would be great.

FYI, I have worked a bit on the packaging of `ldraw-mklist` and `ldraw-parts` for the conda package manager (following the same package naming conventions as debian and fedora) and had to apply some patches to mkist for it to build - the same that debian and freebsd are also applying. Would be nice if these were upstreamed into the official source.
