Alternatives to LDD? - rickygrewal - 2018-08-15 I see lots of people building digitally, but I don't have the slightest clue what programs to start googling. I guess I'll start with asking if any of them have more of the recent torso patterns and such than LDD does for making minifigures?https://cleanmaster.me/ https://facebooklite.vip/ https://mathway.vip/ RE: Alternatives to LDD? - Jaco van der Molen - 2018-08-16 (2018-08-15, 12:02)rickygrewal Wrote: I see lots of people building digitally, but I don't have the slightest clue what programs to start googling. Eh... Ricky? You ended up here on the LDraw forums, so this is THE place to find your programs! ;-) I'd say try LDCad. As for torso patterns: All parts are made on a voluntary basis, so if you cannot fine the torso's with the right patterns they've not been made. You can either ask if here on the forums if someone is willing to make them, or try your self. RE: Alternatives to LDD? - Richard L. West - 2019-08-30 Or you could try LeoCAD, It's the program I used to build or to modify some projects made by other users. You can download on site thus: www.leocad.org. Best of luck to all inquiring Lego Users. Sincerely, Richard L. West A very happy LeoCAD user. RE: Alternatives to LDD? - Opie S. Teller - 2019-11-02 I am a Mac user (OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra) and I am going to upgrade to OSX Catalina eventually, but I'm waiting on that. In the meantime, I am practically certifiable in the latest version of Lego Digital Designer. However, I've never been quite satisfied with its semi-lack of the newest useful bricks (I have no care for the gimmick pieces), as well as old lost-to-time bricks. I have gone on a download bonanza for the past hour and a half since I found out that LDraw is a thing. I also noticed that many of these things cut off at OSX Snow Leopard at the latest, so… yeah. I'm wondering if anybody here knows the MOST UPDATED and LEAST BUGGY software that operates similarly to LDD but through LDraw. I was relieved to find that there were recent posts on this forum. Which of these compressed files (on the attached image) are most necessary, and/or which ones would be completely useless to me? |
