LPub3D - show every instance of an element - Jetro de Château - 2016-02-14 I'm working on BIs for WeDo models. These models are typically for (very) young builders and the instructions LEGO provide show every instance of the elements used (e.g. if there are 2 white 1x4 plates, the PLI shows 2 plates). Can this be done in LPub3D? Re: LPub3D - show every instance of an element - Jaco van der Molen - 2016-02-16 Hmm, I gave this some thought and the only thing I could come up with is create a file for every instance (maximum per step) an element is used. Say in step one you use 2 plates 2x2. You make two files 3022-1.dat and 3022-2.dat. Then use those parts to build. In theory create the parts as unofficial multiple instance parts. Hell of a job, but I think this must work. Re: LPub3D - show every instance of an element - Jetro de Château - 2016-02-16 Thanks. Sounds like it should. Too much work though, as I'd have to keep track of using the correct part in each step as well... The kids will just have to wisen up Re: LPub3D - show every instance of an element - Jaco van der Molen - 2016-02-16 Agreed! They learn to count too then! |
