8110 Unimog - Oh-Seong KWON - 2011-11-28

Hi,
Here is the most huge official technic model ever Smile

You can download my model at http://pds22.egloos.com/pds/201111/29/09/8110.zip
LDR file contain the code line for stickers but L3B file don't, because SR3D couldn't read the file with the stickers to the end.
I recommend that if you want to use SR3D, then choose L3B file, and if LDview or MLCAD, then LDR file.

Here is the sticker files that I used as reference. (You should download at parts folder and do 'Scan part' in MLCAD)

Anyway I can get you to attach the MPD file to this post instead of a link? I ask this since the link might change sometime on the future and I'd like someone who logs on in 5 years to be able to download the file.

Thanks for comment. Smile
I edited above post and attached LDR file directly.

I don't know about MPD file. ^^;;
I just assemble this model using SR3D Builder and MLCAD alternatively.
So code sequence might be little odd to expert's eye.

Excellent work! I'm jealous since this model was next on my list and you beat me to it Smile

Don't worry about the MPD thing, this file isn't one. One a side note, it looks as if SR 3D Builder doesn't support MPD.

Re: 8110 Unimog - Orion Pobursky - 2011-11-29

I would assume that L3B is the SR 3D Builder file? Can you attach that to the post as well?

Yes, I would. Smile

It was already in zip file that I linked, and I attach it also in first post.

Awesome. Once again, great work! I'm looking forward to doing some renders.

Agree with the other posts - awesome! I would love to include this model in the next AIOI. Is there a chance to get it OMR compliant?

Hi,
SR 3D Builder can read .MPD very standard files. It has some difficult with files that contains part definition.
Also a tube, hose or what else curved part in not interpreted as a single entity but as a sequence of disconnected parts causing a lot of performance degradation while managing them.

And, furthermore, SR3DB cannot write .MPD file format.

unofficial parts - Steffen - 2011-11-29

hmm, as you seem to be using several currently unofficial parts in your model,
an mpd would really be better here because when we change those in future on the PT,
your model uploaded here will break...

Re: unofficial parts - Orion Pobursky - 2011-11-29

Since Oh-Seong seems to not be familiar with MPDs and I have admin access to the forums, I'll run his file through MPD Wizard and attach the resulting file to the original post.

now that's what I call cooperative work! nice! - Steffen - 2011-11-29
