Model with missing/outdated parts - Michael Horvath - 2013-12-11
LDView reports several missing files for the attached model. Where are the missing parts? Can someone fix it?

Also, where do I find part 4106? It seems to be referenced by another part, but is not rendered.

4106 is a part alias of 2959, official since 2012-03. http://www.ldraw.org/library/official/parts/4106.dat
I only get one missing part, x1742. The query http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/tracker/activity.cgi?f=parts/x1742.dat returns nothing, so it was never submitted to parts tracker under this name. But you find this reference at Peeron: http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x1742 and with the help of ldfind you quickly find the replacement part, either 58367 or the more modern, simplified 60849

4106 is referenced by another file:

Doesn't that mean that 2959c01.dat should not be made official yet as well?

it is. just get the most recent officially released parts library.
that is e.g. complete.zip version 2013-01.
you seem to be using an old or outdated or damaged one.

Aha! That was the problem all along. I could have sworn I installed the new parts sometime in the summer.
