"Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Horvath - 2013-11-15 It makes no difference if I select "Open" or "Download" for an attachment. Either case causes the download dialog to appear. Using Chrome 31.0.1650.48 m on Windows 7 64 bit. Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Heidemann - 2013-11-15 you need to setup your system and/or your browser to understand "ldr" and "mpd" and "dat". Currently I do not exactly how you do that, but we talked about that already in the forum. Just search Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Max Martin Richter - 2013-11-15 If you choose "open", your system will download(!) the part into a temp folder and open it afterwards... While choosing "download" you specify a folder and open the file then manually... /Max Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Heidemann - 2013-11-15 I do not use Chrome but firefox and there you have the possibility to set the application for specific content (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/set-how-firefox-handles-different-file-types) I am sure something similar exists for Chrome. My setting for LDView files (dat, mpd, ldr) is "Always ask". Maybe you have set that to "Always save". Just as an Idea. Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Horvath - 2013-11-15 It does not happen that way in my browser. Maybe it's a configuration issue on my part, as Michael says. Though I do not see such a configuration option in the browser settings. Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Heidemann - 2013-11-15 Maybe this page tells the story for you: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95759?hl=en As i earlier wrote, i do not use chrome, so it is only a guess that it works. Re: "Open" attachment doesn't work - Michael Horvath - 2013-11-15 Yes, that helps. Thanks! |
