Any Comments ??
So many Parts on my todo list. I can only add this one...
I opened one my parts... seems to be not very complex. but creation needs time.

/Max
Hi Max

Ok Thanks for the reply.
I hope you will get arround to it soon :-D

Og ja, jeg er også vild med Lego :-)

/Knud
Please note that I have to write a test in University next Wednesday. So it will take some more time...

/Max
Hej,
just a short update with a little teaser:
I finished the black cover tonight.
Files with sXX.dat must copied to the s-folder. 2869.dat is the cover itself.
I will try to complete the yellow controller in the next days.

/Max
Argh, I deleted a wrong file without backup :-(
Now I have to write the work of one day again.

So please be patient...I will do the underside now.

/Max
Just a view lines from my side. I'm working on the grey underside since a couple of days but I don't get it to the right dimension...
I think, I have to try it again and again Undecided

Ok, this part is almost finished. Only the holders for the circuit plates a are missing. But while getting these measures I found out, that I did some mistakes on the black part.
I hope, that I will finish the hole part this weekend... (Only a circuit plate dummy and some cosmetics must be done)
Update: I forgot the screws. But this shouldn't be so hard. - The part is almost ready for the wild.

/Max
Hi Max

Thanks for the great work.

I look forward to seeing the finished result :-)

Kind Regards
Knud
The part is ready and will be uploaded in few hours... is uploaded now.

I haven't thought that this part is so complex. A lot of calculations had been done by drawing this part in AutoCad :-)

Only the yellow 2 x 2 connector needs to be reworked. I'll do this soon.

(I'll edit this post, when the part is uploaded)

/Max
Hi Max

Thanks for the great work.
I will be looking forward to implementing this part in my instructions..

Kind Regards
Knud
Hi Again Max

I tried yesterday to download the parts at ldraw.org and when i import it into mlcad the result looks nothin like the picture you inserted above.
I downloaded and added the following files to the parts folder:
2868c01.dat
2868.dat
2868.dat
2870.dat
5306.dat
u9266.dat
u9267.dat
u9268.dat

Here is what i see in mlcad:

What am i missing ??

Kind Regards
Knud
Oh, you are missing all the subfiles and primitives. You can see the referenced parts, when you watch the details of the parents on the Parts Tracker. So you have to download them manually.
OR
You can open the 2868c01 in LDView. AFAIK it should download all missing parts automatically in your unofficial parts folder (I hope you have such a folder).

Last option:
I could make you a bundle with all these files and upload them here in the forum.

/Max
Hi Max

i dont understand that you say i am missing sub parts. All the files you reference at ldraw i have downloaded and added to them to the unofficial parts folder.
i assume that the subparts should be in the same folder as 2868c01 and not in the s-subfolder ??

maybe it would be a good idea if you would upload a file :-)

Kind Regards
Knud
Hej Knud,
well all referenced parts have references to other parts inside. That's why some subparts are missing.

I have prepared a zip file, but it's not allowed to upload zip files here. So I have extended the file name with .txt . If you rename the uploaded folder back to .zip only by removing the .txt extension you should be able to see it's content. Just copy all files in the corresponding folder on your harddisk.

/Max

PS.: I hope, I have not forgotten any files ;-)
Hi Max

Thanks, that helped but..
as you can see here it looks as if one of the parts is turned the wrong way ?? :

I hope you can help with this..

Knud
Hej Knud,
oh...Somehow I mixed the parts of my Pre Upload and Uploaded folder together.
I attached the right file (at least I hope, it is the correct one.)
Just put it into the unofficial/parts folder.

/Max
Thanks so much for completing this part. I have been waiting for it for a long time specifically for this V-8 model.

Hi Max

Now its perfect - Thanks for the help :-)

Kind regards
Knud
Hi Erik

Are you also making an instruction for this model ??
This is the only part i need to finish mine :-)

What tool did you use for this render - it looks great :-)

Kind Regards
Knud
I would love to see the MPD or LDR file for this, would you mind to upload it here?
Hi Steffen

I have now finished the instructions for the V8 Engine.
If you still are interrested, you can see it here:
http://www.snakebyte.dk/lego/instruction.../index.php

Kind Regards
Knud
hmm. your instruction pdf on every page shows that it has been made by you, with a prominent logo,
but you don't mention the use of our parts library anywhere.
I know that that's not mandatory, but I feel the library a little underrepresented Sad
Hi Steffen

I am not sure what you mean?
Do you want me to write that i have used MLCAD/LDRAW to make the instructions?

Kind Regards
Knud
A line like "Created by using the LDraw Library of Parts" or something else would indeed be great :-)

Hilsen!

/Max
Hi

Ok, I will look into this later.

Kind Regards
Knud
