I just wanted to know if we're allowed to do promo and prototype parts to be released in the official library. While I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes regarding the promos, I'm not so sure about the (Lego offocial) prototypes.
Here are a few examples of what I mean:
Promos:
The white Boba Fett
Darth Maul
Prototypes:
R2-KT (to learn more about R2-KT go to
http://www.r2kt.com/)
George Lucas

Since no one seems to care I submitted the torso for the white Boba Fett....
Cool! I say that ot it's an part produced by LEGO than it's fair game for the library.
So, the prototypes would be okay, too, or did I misunderstand you there?
I don't speak in any official capacity but I'm fine with prototypes. They're LEGO produced parts.
I agree. If it is produced by LEGO we can include it the LDraw library.
I'll hijack my own thread from over 6 years ago to add another question: What about parts from videogames? I fell in love with the rocketship from Lego Worlds, "PUG-Z". I wanted to build it in reallife, so I started reverse engineering it in LDraw to know what parts are needed, only to realize that a lot of parts aren't available in the right colors. So I decided to rebuild it virtually in every detail. Which meant to learn how to draw patterns again, because I forgot everything about that. Two parts are not done yet, but here are the ones I have finished.

If you cannot buy it I'd say no.

That's what I thought, but I had to ask at least.
Creation of a new parts style like we did for 3rd party parts? Im not a huge fan of integrating virtual parts, but clearly there is a demand...

Rolf have some digital parts here, that seems to be from a videogame too:

I posted the finished model
here. So if anyone wants the parts, they can extract them from the model.
