I just lost three hours of work because Bricksmith crashed on me. Does it leave temp files out there that I can use to recover my work?

Unfortunately, not that I'm aware of. I've been caught by the same problem. Save early, save often my friend.

Alas, no. Always save your work!
And please send me the crash report, because it definitely shouldn't crash on you.
