The 3 models which were released as the 1993 - Race Value Pack which was actually released in... 1993.  Smile
Unfortunately, there are no "back of the box" models, as the back of the individual boxes were stuck to the packaging of the value pack itself.
Set 1991 - Racing Pickup Truck was originally uploaded in the thread started by Robert Paciorek (which is now closed). In the version below, the OMR errors and tire colors have been corrected.

Wow, very nice models!!

As there are several printed parts and many stickers (including sets 6345 and 1992 you've created) remaining missing, I will focus on creating them for a while.

Thanks Takeshi, and congratulations to you on receiving the JJMA!

If you have a chance to make the stickers for the football stadium, I still have the actual set and can provide you with some good quality pictures of the stickers if it helps.

It is really great to have a bit of time to work on this hobby again, and I will continue working on the early 1990's sets and back of the back of the box models for the 80s and 90s. Hopefully I will manage more than in 2022.  Blush

Happy New Year everyone!
6344 - Jet Speed Justice (1993)

Originally uploaded in the thread started by Robert Paciorek, I noticed that the "Jet" (airplane) part of the model was completely missing from the file. This is also the case for the version in the OMR database.
I put the jet back in from the original file which was created by RabbiT_CZ over on Eurobricks and also corrected a few OMR errors.

Thanks very much!!

Yes, I can and will make stickers for football stadium, it will be very appreciated to upload the reference images.
For set 6344, the printed helmet 2446px2(Bricklink) / 2446pr0040(Rebrickable) is missing and in my to-do-list.

Fantastic, I will take some pictures in the coming days. :-)
Oops, I missed that.  Blush I have corrected the missing items list.
6513 - Glade Runner (1993)

Couldn't find this on the OMR DB or in the forum, so hope this is something new. I included all "back of the box" models.

Wasn't sure whether I should post this as there are a number of parts missing, but as it is otherwise complete, here it is. Will focus on some models which have fewer or no missing parts next.

  • Trans-Light Blue Windscreen 4 x 4 x 4 1/3 Helicopter with Coast Guard Logo Pattern 2483pb05, (replaced with 4215a)
  • Panel 1 x 4 x 3 with 5 White Stripes Pattern 4215pb011, (replaced with part 2483)
  • Plastic Triangle 6 x 12 Sail with Red and Blue Wavy Stripes on White Background Pattern x66px8 (replaced with part x66px13)
  • String

EDIT 5.01.23: Just realized I uploaded the non OMRized file last night. Correct file is now attached.

The sail x66px8 (included also in set 6595 and 6414) is now ongoing, but some rework need other sails currently on PT (u66p02-p04) and I'll feedback on it.
The windscreen and panel are stickered, not printed, so using plain parts is reasonable.

Meanwhile, string continues to be the major holdup for a lot of models to be complete…

I've thought before about what kind of toolkit might help with that. Would it be enough just to have a library of helper/donor parts for common string configurations (like a pre-made reel, or reel segments)?

Or does it need to be something more dynamic/interactive? For example, a scripted tool that automatically winds a certain length of string around a reel, adds a knotted loop to carry a hook, etc.?

There is still also the ongoing question of which donor parts, exactly, make the best representation of strings.

I think your proposal to have something interactive with a library of helper parts would be great. I just tried to generate the string in MLCad but having not used the program for 5 or more years, I couldn't get it to work, I might revisit it later. I also looked at LDCad but that seemed to be more complicated.
I wish Studio could improve its flexible items tool, but perhaps there are some ideas here on how a scripted tool could work?

LDCad is definitely the tool that handles this, nowadays. MLCad, via LSynth, could do it, but it's not nearly as versatile or powerful. And as you've seen, Studio just plain doesn't work when it comes to flex parts.

I wonder if the method that LDCad uses (internally) to define spring parts could be adapted to, say, hose reels?

I also wonder if there could be some kind of pre-defined metadata—similar to snap info—that would automatically pass a string through the plate thickness of a hook, or a Technic beam or lamp holder? (This seems to be how Studio is supposed to work.)

So when building a tow truck, crane or rescue winch, for example, you'd:
  1. Place an LDCad template for string and enter its given length,
  2. Set one end into the hole of a hose reel, or other starting point,
  3. Click or drag the other end through any holes or parts it needs to be routed through,
  4. Then apply an ending part, such as a crane hook or grabber.

Maybe you could specify how to begin and/or end the string with preset behaviors, like:
PATH_END=REEL (you could set the number of windings and/or depth of layers around a reel)
PATH_END=AUTO_REEL (this would automatically wind any excess length of string around a reel)
PATH_END=LOOP (this would create a loop with a knot, onto which the hook or grabber would be placed)

You could add part numbers to these commands, to specify which hook, reel, etc. the path should use. Basically they'd be an extension of PATH_CAP metas used by LDCad.

This would cover the basics of creating a string part; all that would be left is adding any additional path points to bend around corners, shaping the curve handles, and so on.

Yes, that really does sound ideal, especially if the remainder of the string could be wrapped around the reel. Otherwise, I would probably not want to enter the length, instead just mark the start, middle, and end points and let the program do the rest (how I remember it from MLCad).  I will try to look into the MLCad and LDCad options again in the coming days.
Should we follow up on this topic in the Parts Authoring section?

It’s more a model editing question; I’ll put some ideas down in the editors and viewers forum (maybe in a day or so).

Unfortunately the current design of 2446 helmet is not correct. Please don't make pattern on that shape.

There were quite a few parts missing in this model, even though the OMR database states this should not have been the case. I hope I got them all... except for the string around the fishing rod.  Dodgy

Thanks, I have corrected that as well as a few other things I just noticed. New file is uploaded. In future, I might consider making some models from scratch rather than correcting existing ones.
Corrected the OMR and misplaced parts. Added missing parts.
