Oh man!
So when 10151 - Hot Rod came out, I saw it in the magazine and they said it was a remake of an old classic, and I was like... "What? No... Of an old classic car perhaps?"
And now I realize it's a remake of 5541 (the Model Team version).

For context, I dug up that magazine from my personal archives.
Given the release year it wasn't hard to narrow it down to the Fall 2004 Shop at Home:

There were also a few other nice technic sets.
This was during the reign of the RCX 2.0 and when the Star Destroyer was still the largest set.
