Full Version: Problem with rendering flexed part

Hi all,

I flexed a part in LDCad which needs to be rendered in Studio. In Studio instruction maker, the part looks fine, but when I render it has gaps:

That's the catalog (unflexed) part on top and the flexed part on the bottom. 

Maybe this is a hint: I notice something I haven't seen before in the file: the flexed part has a subfile. It says:

0 //Fixed color segments

0 //  Skin meta #1 is using a static color.
0 //  To ensure correct edge colors those segments are placed in (a) subpart(s).
1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 stringStudsLQ-1_subPart1.ldr

Any ideas?

This probably has to do with studio normalizing the scaled sections.

A workaround for this is discussed in this thread:

Thanks Roland. That solved the problem for me. I had referred to that thread a long time ago when I was first learning LDCad, but had completely forgotten about it.
