Taking the discussion form the part s\2528s01 to the forum

Magnus, here's my proposal for the rework.
- based on the Unity/LDD geometry
- measurements confirmed with calipers
- I broke down the LDD geometry and refined it a bit, hopefully not adding too many surfaces.

What changed?
- Plume attachment point
- Top width increased
- Bottom width decreased
- Rounded ends

What is pending?
- Runded gap in the middle

Please check the outer surfcase!

Thanks

Gerald
I think it looks good.
But I prefer the simpler ldd outer surface mesh. The edge on yours is better, though.

It needs a full 180 rotation, the plume is allways on the left side.

And the rounded ends should be more flat.

Here's a proposal in the middle

LDD some 30+ surfaces

Surface: 65 surfaces

Redone: Surface-2 44 surfaces

Looks to be a good compromise!

I like it too.
A new version of the hats, and a new print, is now done.

Small request, big results!

A request for the Admiral's Hat resulted in the correction of the geometry and making all patterns available!
Magnus is working on the last one, soe here's the Family Picture of today with one member on the way:

Thanks
And now the last version is on the Part Tracker.
