Full Version: Parts with two colours

Hello,

there are parts that use more than one colour, e.g. the "MANTLE FOR MINI FIGURE", Lego number 6063290 (design: 50231)
This coat has two different colours (new dark red, medium lilac) on the front and back.
Only one colour can currently be used.
Are you planning to adjust the LDraw specification?
The current solution that I see is that the representation consists of two parts shifted into one another with different colors.
Or a special version would have to be created.

Manfred
Hi Manfred,
This specific par is already done, as a patterned part (which it is somehow...)

Hi Philippe,
I didn't found it.
Thank you.
Generally, there are some parts with more than one colour, mini antenna (design 4592) for example.
Here are allways special parts needed?

Yes. But the antenna is not a good example, since it is made of two parts, the base (4592) and the stick (4593). The bicolor shortcut with black stick (4592c01) is only a convenience.
True bicolor parts (often co-injection) examples are 61406p03 (Plate 1 x  2 with Tooth and Flexible Orange Tip) or 16001p04 (Minifig Arm Left with Black Lower Arm Pattern). And in this case they are treated as patterned parts.
