Hi,

I wonder if this could be done in LDRAW. really I'm mostly interested in the glass itself since it is around 16L x 8L x 6L
and would look awesome in a lego train station digital MOC assuming I can find some clever way to incorporate it with lego pieces.

It comes in 10 sets and the frame is only in yellow: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/cat...5D#T=C&C=3

I'm trying to find more photos / videos of it from other angles but its hard.

i'll update this tread if I find anything.

EDIT: found some high quality images:

Nearly done with it, my first Duplo part!

This site has pic from the bottom (strange domain, but lego-pic)

Thanks! Big Grin
I finished it, but the glass gives me some doubt.
Do you know if this is only a transparent plastic sheet or really moulded?

The more I look at the bottom of the part, the more I think it is a transparent sheet of plastic only. The small lip at the top of the arch is supposed to hold the transparent section in place, if moulded this would never slip in there without excessive force. Also how it is fixed at the bottom of the arch, looks like those were pins that were just heated and deformed to fix the plastic sheet...

anybody owns this one?

I see the pins in the photo and yes it looks like they were heated and deformed

I'd buy the part but it will cost a fortune because ive bought duplo parts before and if the part itselt isnt expensive the shipping or other extra costs are.

I'm leaning towards it being a preformed piece of rigid plastic but slid in place then somehow welded down with plastic welding. but thats just a best guess.

You could just give it a generic name in the dat file, so neither "flexable plastic sheet" or "rigid curved panel" for example.

I'll take a look at the prices anyhow incase I get lucky, yellow is not the best color to build buildings IRL with though, in LDCAD you can at least change the color of anything.

Regards, Snipe
Don't purchase it purely to find out what the material is. ,the design is pretty straight forward.
I will model it thinner, like one or two LDU thick (currently it is 4)

Interestingly, I cannot make Studio render this properly, seems the trans clear cylinder is too big... I just get a white blob instead of color 47

Ok. thanks.
Render is working now, there was a cyli prim missing in studio, and onesided-trans-clear looks strange...

I need to ask Chris for a part-numer for the plastic-sheet
