I've added some verbiage here:
https://www.ldraw.org/article/512draft.html#colours

I've tweaked https://www.ldraw.org/article/512draft.h...icker_desc to reference the Header spec

Sorry I don't get it. Is it:

Code:
but does not include the colours of paint used to decorate parts or ink used on stickers.

Then it is wrong. Metallic as well as Chrome are defined in LDConfig.ldr. Problem is that pattern and stickers have to use Metallic instead of Chrome.

But there are exceptions, eg. mirror stickers that are best rendered with chrome colors...
No it's:
"In general, metallic colours used on printed parts should use the drum lacquer or "ink" colours."

Please don't use "Drum lacquer" or "Ink". That's lego nomenclatura. We only say "Metallic" in ldconfig.

Personally I would accept all colour codes in a print, or sticker, except "Pearl", "Rubber" or "Internal Common Material".
Those codes are reserved for parts with material properties.

btw, we are IMO missing a whole section in ldconfig about flat colours to be used on textile parts, like canvas, and capes, and parts made of felt.

Ok, I changed the wording to be more clear

May I suggest another change.
Quote:In general, metallic colours used on stickers, patterned parts, and other printed materials the LDraw Metallic Colours (these colours are referred to by LEGO as drum lacquer or "ink") and not Chrome or Pearl colours.

The comment about drum lacquer and ink is only true on 3 of the metallic colours, silver, gold and copper. I think we should remove that parentheses.
I like it. Change made.
