Guys yesterday i spent hours making the following pattern.

btw i have spent tons of hours to make this pattern. and i have just realize that it was already available on part tracker.

i was looking something new to upload, and check on rebricable, this brick did not had any ldraw part assigned and i did not check on

grrrrrrrrr.......

regarding this issue for future designs. the idea its to make the patterns with the less ammount of triangles as possible ?

any recommendation to add? in the LQ version of the pattern you can see some vertex have TONS of triangles that are attached to them. its this ok? or its not recommended to have many triangles attached to a vertex?

note: yellow lines should be color 16. i know now.

Yes it's painful... dunno if that can console you, but I've done it several times!!!

Mostly yes. But of course there is a tradeoff between image quality and number of triangles. What should be avoided is to have vertices in straight areas or in the middle of single colored area (I can see several instances of this in your designs, remember that one more vertex=one more triangle!).

Number of triangles attached to a vertex is not a problem as long as you don't have extremely pointy triangles (see http://www.ldraw.org/article/512.html#colinear). But Datheader will warn you if that happens.

Overall I think that the LQ version is good (resolution wise). The 4 dots around the screen and the bottom of the dial are a bit coarse though.

Maybe you should use more the LDPC disc primitives, the vertices in your circles don't seem to be evenly distributed.

Thank you very much philo,

regarding the primitives, i did used them and then made some avegage of the points. i was testing only the tool , after i did realized that i spent lots of hour on making this usless part lolol

again thank you very much for all the recommendations,.
