The turntable has to be inlined, and the top part moved to the body assembly, so that the top part is rotated together with the body and the digger arm.

Updated, thanks for review.  I've overlooked the turntable shortcut.

Very nice model and thanks for uploading!!

Updated: corrected tyre colour (0 -> 256 Rubber black), and the sticker was a bit too big (running out of the side surface of winch drum)

This is where you can use the one I built for you - and you OMRized.

Thanks, I've added it along with set 6480.

Known error: Slight (2 LDU on each side, but total 4 LDU = a half plate) collisions between sliding crane base and fixed black inner rail

I've examined the cause of collisions several times but I couldn't find which part is wrong.
Does the real model rely on plastic flexibility to absorb strain??

Very often, yes. Although in this case it could also be due to the 0.2 mm size difference between real plates (such as in the crane base and possibly the rails) and their LDraw versions.

You can always apply scaling to a part or assembly if you want visual accuracy, such as for rendering.

Thanks for your advice!!
However, the collision is too much to be explained by the 0.5 LDU thickness difference.
According to the photo, the crane looks like "open jaw" slightly, the strain should be absorbed by rahmen structure of posts and beams.

Yes, certainly a combination of the two. The parts have considerable natural flexibility, and then the tiny gap between bricks allows an assembly to bend even a tiny bit more (though this is more pronounced in the horizontal direction).

Either way, scaling is the simplest way to visually correct for this—not that most modelers would or should bother, of course! Theoretically, you could also build accurately-sized parts and combine that with LDCad's flexible generator to hyper-realistically model this bending, but now we're just talking crazy.  Tongue

Hi Takeshi,

I would just like to take the time to thank you for updating these models, and if I understand correctly you made the stickers as well?
Having made a few digital versions of the OEM stickers for my 80s-90s LDraw models early last year, I appreciate the amount of time and effort it takes to make good quality, digital reproductions of them.
To be honest, mine are simply modified scans of the actual stickers, so unfortunately it is not something worth submitting, but I will see what other contributions I can make to this OMR thread this year.

Thanks again for your fantastic contribution, the stickers really make all the difference.

This set will be STAMP-free with part 87079, similar to set 6692 :-)

Yes, I've created missing stickers in the models and submitted into the PT.
I thought printed parts are more useful (usually appear in multiple sets and can easily be used in MOCs), but recently I think stickers are also important for the atmosphere of the sets.

The nearest and one-of-biggest barrier for completing 1980's-90's town (trains, boats & Paradisa) will be the larger two boat hulls.
https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-6006.html
I will try to model them, but I need some help (orthogonal pictures, part measurements, etc.).
One of my favorite set in childhood

Sigh, unfortunately, I stopped checking that thread a few months after my post. I sold the boats in a hurry and forgot to take the measurements after it turned out that having them scanned would be too expensive. :-( I hope someone else can help out with that one, as I had 4020 and 4030 and would like to have them in a digital collection.

I did however take pictures of all the boxes I had and shared them with https://www.backoftheboxbuilds.com/ recently. It was a about 200+ sets of various sizes so if you like B-Models as well, keep an eye on that site in the coming months. I might contribute B-Models here as most of the main models are available. Need to look into OMR compliance thing though.
