I have the feeling the 1L worm gear is not quite correct, but I can't confirm since I don't have the part (yet).
Or maybe I'm just not used to seeing a 1L worm gear and my brain is messing with me

Yes it's indeed wrong: these gears should mesh:

Wow, haha, that's indeed a simple way to check the dimensions. 

And besides the size, it looks like one 'side' of the real worm wheel has 3 'edges' and the other side 2. But the digital worm gear has 3 'edges' on both sides. 
Or is that just perspective?
