I just downloaded and installed the latest version of the LDraw all in one installer. Every time I open LDView, it prompts me to choose the LDraw model to open. I remember that in previous versions there was some sort of option in the configuration menu that set LDView to automatically open the last model that was viewed in the viewer. Is this setting still there? I haven't been able to find it.

I use LDView for years and I am not aware of such a feature... Maybe I'll learn something today?

Sorry, no. Unless my memory is totally gone, that has never been a feature of LDView. It does remember recently opened files (showing them in the File menu), so if I were still putting time into LDView, it would probably be easy to implement, but it's not something that LDView has ever done.
