SnapCAD was released officially yesterday by VEX. This is a "new" LDraw editor that targets robot building using VEX IQ parts. It is an adapted version of MLCad, and uses the parts that I modeled from VEX 3D models.

See SnapCAD page here.

As a side note, SnapCAD can be used for regular LDraw stuff (your just have to change default library and categories). And it does correct a few MLCad known bugs, such as the greyed-out vector rotation (you must uncheck "absolute position" to make it available).
The screenshot is very small. Do you have a bigger one?
There are HD video tutorials here: http://www.robotc.net/blog/2015/07/09/snapcad/
This looks very cool. Which bugs did you fix?
(not me, but Michel Lachmann!)
o Rotation vector enabled on relative operations
o Fix undo bug for primitives
o Fix undo bug for rotation point
o Fix BFC statement corruption
o Fix image for unknown part
Oh, I thought you were developing it.
Closed source...
Just wondering..

Why did he release this as snapcad and not just MLCad 3.x with some changed config files etc?
Because he got missionned by VEX and they needed a face lift to remove references to the somewhat competing LLEGO company... I was hoping he would release a MLCad 3.x with those bugs corrected, but nothing so far Sad
Not likely he'll fix the nested MPD bug... Sad
