Not sure, but indeed it looks like a bug in "Add assembled image in parent page" feature: sub-sub models are not properly positioned. I don't use this feature, I prefer to use buffer exchange to show subassembly and arrows above model, then put it in place. It's more time consuming to do, but you have better control and it's more in-line with LEGO instructions style.
