LDView locked up my computer three times in a row when viewing the attached model. I had to reboot each time. This only started happening today.

Maybe my video card is dying. I'm going to try blowing the dust out of my case.

A cable was caught in the case fan causing it not to spin. Maybe that was the problem.
It sounds like you suspect a hardware problem. However, are you aware that the X and Z coordinates of your mesh are in the 10^13-10^14 range?
Yes, it's supposed to be 128x128 baseplates in size.
Well, in that case, the horizontal scale is only off by a factor of about 214 billion, then :-). Just a minor little thing ;-).
Oops. Don't know what happened there.
I had another lockup, this time when trying to view a modified version of the "box.dat" primitive. I no longer have the part since I deleted it. Sorry.

I'm really not sure whether I am having a hardware problem or not. I haven't had any lockups or crashes in any other program. For instance I have been using LDCad extensively over the past week without problems.

Does LDView generate any log files I could share with you?
LDView doesn't generate log files. The closest it has is the OpenGL driver info page, but all that reall tells me is things like the make and model of the graphics card, and the age of the driver. I don't know why LDView would lock up but nothing else.
I've uninstalled the beta until this gets fixed. The reboots are too disruptive.

I switched back to 4.1 and have not had any lockups since.
